Our Vision

Our Vision KIOCC's philosophy focuses on perpetuating the Hawaiian culture and spirit through outrigger canoeing. We work hard to combine an appreciation for family, nature, community, and competitiveness while having tons of fun.

The KIOCC club is 'Ohana (family). This is a wise Hawaiian saying to which our club adheres:

'A'ohe hana nui ke alu 'ia. "No task is too big when done together by all." -from 'Olelo No'eau: Hawaiian Proverbs & Poetical Sayings by Mary Kawena Pukui.

...and here's a cheer that KIOCC says after each practice session: 'E kahi, 'e lua, 'e kolu, imua lokahi! "One, two, three, onward together!"
